Northern Lifts have recently become the first lift installation company in Scotland to supply, install and test a number of 8 person - 630kg machine roomless passenger lifts in Corus bi-steel lift shafts.

The prefabricated lift shafts arrive on site fully dimensioned with all door and control panel apartures preformed. Erection of the shaft units is a rapid process, enhancing the building programme.

The lift installation varies only slightly from a traditional build but the main advantages are accurate dimensions of the shaft +/- only a few millimeters, a clean wind and watertight environment allowing our engineers a trouble free installation and ensuring any pre-finish snagging is kept to an absolute minimum.
